Training & Certification

This training program is offered in two levels, and it is designed to assess the ability of the 'layperson' to enter Tier 1: Basic First Aid and CPR and, based on performance, both psychomotor and cognitive, advance to Tier 2: Emergency Medical Responder.

 

Tier 1: Basic First Aid and CPR

This course will teach everyday first aid skills, which are invaluable when accidents happen when you're out and about, and other emergency support life techniques in adults. The course covers emergency life support techniques (adult only) and how to deal with minor and deteriorating conditions in any casualty.

Tier 2: Emergency Medical Responder

​

This course is for those interested in taking a more active role in emergencies. Our instructor will introduce students to a thorough standardized assessment protocol, oxygen administration, and advanced injury management skills. The courses are student-oriented with pre-course self-study and evaluation, lots of hands-on scenarios, skills stations, and realistic practical sessions to maximize relevance. The First Responder course is scheduled for the first three days and is suitable for employers looking to establish on-site response teams which can better handle traumatic injuries.
