Outreach & Special Projects

From 2012- 2017, the Public Health Education and Outreach Committee has been involved in many activities on and off campus. Along with carrying out the works done at the Jamaica Christian Boys Home, the team has partnered with several different organizations, namely Mona Social Services, where several workshops were done on First Aid Teachings to Primary & Basic School Parents and a Safe Sex Forum done with person ages 16-25.

 

 

The team was also invited to teach a class on Splinting and Bandaging by the University of the West Indies Surgical Society. A CPR Demonstration Session at the St. George's Anglican Church downtown Kingston and the distribution of a wheelchair and walker was also done.
